Lake Life at it's Finest!

Nestled along a scenic stretch of the Tennessee River, Choto Estates is a peaceful residential community comprised of nearly 40 unique home sites and a private community dock. Established in 1963, our neighborhood meanders along the shores of Fort Loudoun Lake on the Choto peninsula in West Knox County, Tennessee. Homes are set on generous acre-sized lots surrounded by mature trees, creating a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. It is not uncommon to see families of deer wandering through the neighborhood, a daily reminder of the natural beauty that surrounds us.

HISTORY
Before becoming a residential community, the land that is now Choto Estates was once farmland. In 1963, W. C. and Louise R. Perry, along with Harold Hayes, began the development of the neighborhood. The first phase included 31 lots, with 17 of those located directly along the water. A second phase, completed in 1968, added the final 11 lots. The first home was built in 1965, and the last was completed in 2020.

Over the past 60 years, Choto Estates has remained a close-knit and stable community. Many of today’s residents have lived here since the 1970s and 1980s which has contributed to the long-standing connections and deep sense of belonging that define our neighborhood.
